What is loading in electronics

What you will learn here about loading in electronics?

  • What is loading in electronics?
  • When loading happens in circuit?
  • How to avoid loading in circuit?

In electronics we have heard term loading but most of the times we don’t exactly understand what is loading right!

Prerequisite about Voltage source:
Ideally we know, source resistance of voltage source is zero right but practically none of voltage source has zero source resistance, each source has some finite source resistance which is shown below.

What is loading in electronics

Loading means source is not able to deliver desired power or voltage to load. For example you have source which has the capacity of delivering 5 volt and 1A current but when you connect load, your load is getting 3 volt. Ideally your load should get 5 volt right but your load is getting 3 volt means loading has happened which is shown below. Now the question comes in mind when loading happens right?

When loading happens in circuit?

Basically loading happens when source resistance is greater than the load resistance. Now question comes in mind How? The answer of this how is shown below

How to avoid loading in circuit?

In order to avoid loading you have to always keep in mind while connecting the load that is your load resistance must be greater than the internal resistance of the source.
